A 200 Follower Give-away!

In view of the fact that I haven't posted here for some time AND also due to the fact that there has been no further progress with The Tenement to date AND the fact that I now have 200 followers, I've decided to have a give-away to thank you all for showing an interest in my Tenement and for bearing with me.

This is my Painted Chamber.   I'm showing you this picture as it's my representation of the room depicted on the Notepad featured below in the real life building.   This notepad is the first part of my giveaway.   I purchased it from the shop where I do my little volunteer stint in the actual building and I thought it would be handy for anyone wanting to create their wish list before attending a fair.   It also has a magnet so when you're busy with mundane stuff like cooking and your head is in mini-land, you can nip to the fridge door and note your ideas!!

The second part of the giveaway is this little chair.   I purchased this from a fair long before starting work on The Tenement thinking it would be ideal but unfortunately it just doesn't fit in and is therefore needing a new home.   It's much too nice an item to be languishing in a box and I am sure someone can find the perfect place for it.

The maker's mark is on the base but I'm afraid I can't remember who I purchased it from.

It also has a very detailed and colourful backrest and brown leather seat.

The only rule is - you must be one of my 200 followers - as this is a "thank you" to the 200 who have watched the progress of The Tenement so far and the giveaway will be drawn on Sunday, 22nd July.

The Tenement has now been moved to it's new location in No 2 son's room so hopefully work can continue providing I can pluck up the courage to make this desk I've been on about - secretly, I've been putting it off, hence the delay!

Good luck to all who enter.

  4. Hi Irene
What a wonderful give away. Very generous of you. Unfortunately the chair doesn't quite go with my interiors, and I'm ashamed to say I have way too many booklets for way too many lists LOL
But I just wanted to say how much we appreciate your talent, enthusiasm and support.
Best of luck to the lucky winners.
    Hugs

    1. Hello Simon, Thanks for your nice comment and I appreciate this particular giveaway isn't for everyone. I try to theme them according to the particular property and you're right - the chair wouldn't work with your project.

I'll be drawing the winner later today and I'm really keen to find out who's one!

  5. Hi Irene, I'd love to enter your giveaway, the notebook cover looks very intriguing, I can see that it could very well inspire mini dreams - and I think that M. Culat (who will eventually have his very own bookshop and apartment next to Emily's brocante) would LOVE that chair, I'm sure it would be the talk of the neighbourhood :)

  12. Hello Irene!
Your painted chamber is wonderful! I love the effect you achieved on the walls and the grid on the door. The designs on the beams look amazing! Did you make the upholstered chair and bed? Forgive me if I missed that in an earlier post......I will go back and look. Love this room !
The best to you from Ray

    1. Thank you Ray. Yes, I did make the chair. That's the Mark II version - I got the scale wrong first time round! The bed is also the Mark II version. Before starting the Tenement I bought a double bed but on seeing it in the space, there wasn't room for anything else so I went back to the maker and asked if they could provide me with a single in the same style. I did the bedding and drapes though (using my Pretty Pleater, John - lol!)

    1. Hello Andy. I'm pleased you like the room it's just a shame there isn't space for the table in my version.

The curtains were done using the Pretty Pleater. I never went down the pinning route - just dived in with the pleater!
