The Kitchen at dusk

It took a while but I eventually remembered to take a couple of pictures with the lights on. If you don't do it at the right time, it's too dark and you can't see much of the detail.

This is how I imagine it must have looked like in the 1600s. I love the effect of the shadows on the walls.

  2. It looks lovely and I love to have candles and lamps going when the power goes off too. It's a nice change from lights and television. Your kitchen looks so cosy.

  3. Oh, it looks simply marvellous, Irene! Photos of mini rooms at dusk with the lights on are my very favourite, and this scene is wonderfully atmospheric. I love the shadows, too :)
