A bit more progress on the Cloth Merchant's Booth

At long last I've managed to get to grips with printer ink and fixative. I had a bit of bother with the photograph at the back of the Booth whenever I used paste, and the colour smudged. I eventually got round this problem and was able to insert it into the area I have created at the back of the booth to show the Inner Hall.*

I cut a doorway in the back wall and added what is, in effect, a box on the back. This let me show some depth and I was then able to put the curtain in place. I've put in a little lantern, the flooring and added some barrels. The main structure of the room is now complete. All I have to do next is add more detail.

  1. Hello
It looks really good with the new depth in
the room, and the curtains looks so nice
and neat! It´s a very interesting room and
I am looking forward to see more of it, and
of course the rest of the house!

  4. The addition of the photo has worked well to give depth to the room, and it's authenticity makes it special.

  5. Hi Irene,

can't wait to see all the details you'll put in here. I like the bales of cloth. Have you any 'under the counter' deals going on?

  6. Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I'm enjoying doing this one. As for the "under the counter deals" (posted by my sister!) I'm sure the Merchant was a fine upstanding citizen but I will be explaining later why it didn't do to short measure the Edinburgh housewife!
